Independent sponsor

We buy and grow founder-owned businesses.

Loop Work Capital partners with owners of established service businesses who are thinking about a sale, a partial sale or a succession plan. We keep what works, back the team and help the company grow, through add-on acquisitions and AI workflow automation.

Why an independent sponsor

We are not a fund on a clock. We look at one company at a time, raise capital for each deal from family offices and private investors, and stay involved after we close.

That lets us fit the structure to what you want, not to a fund's timeline.

What we look for

If your business looks like this, we'd like to hear from you.

  • Founder- or family-owned, based in the US
  • $2-7M of EBITDA for a first company, and $0.5-3M for companies that join one we already own
  • Essential services that customers buy again and again
  • A team in place and a reputation worth keeping

Where we're looking

Business and industrial services, mostly. A few of the areas we spend time in:

Testing, inspection and compliance

Inspection, testing and certification work that customers have to get done.

Field and facility services

Generators, doors and docks, building systems and other repair and maintenance work.

Technical and professional services

Surveying, engineering and similar licensed, project-based work.

Outsourced business services

Payroll, benefits administration, claims and other back-office work for small and mid-sized companies.

Legal services

Management services for law firms - intake, marketing, case operations and technology. The lawyers keep ownership of the practice and every legal decision.

AI workflow transformation

Good businesses first. Then we put AI to work.

We buy companies that would be worth owning without an AI story. After we close, we build AI into the daily work, alongside the people who already run it.

Lower cost to serve

In most companies we meet, quoting, scheduling, dispatch, intake, billing and reporting still run on spreadsheets, clipboards and phone calls. Automating that work lets the same team handle more.

A better business

Better pricing on every quote, faster answers for customers, inventory and routes planned from real data, and more leads turned into customers. Where field work allows, drones, sensors and computer vision take on the routine visits.

  • We start with the data. We look at what the business already captures before we promise anything.
  • A small, senior team. Your operators paired with a few experienced AI and data engineers who have built these tools for private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
  • Change management from day one. Building the tools is the quick part. Getting the team to use them is the real work, and we plan for it before we close.

How we work with owners

  • You choose your role. Stay on and keep running the business, or step back on a plan we build together, with an experienced operator we recruit as CEO.
  • You can keep a stake. Roll part of your equity into the new company and share in what we build next.
  • Your name, your people and your customers stay. We add to the business. We don't take it apart.
  • Straight answers early. We'll tell you how we think about value, and whether it's a fit, before you spend much time on diligence.
  • Better tools for your team. We bring in AI and workflow automation for scheduling, billing and back-office work, so your people spend more time with customers and less on paperwork.

How it works

  1. A confidential call

30 minutes on your business and what you want next.

  2. A first look at the numbers

A few years of financials, then an indication of value and structure.

  3. Letter of intent, diligence, close

A clear timeline agreed up front, with your advisors involved throughout.
